Oscar and the magnifying glass!

Today Oscar picked up the magnifying glass in our science area and if like magic he realised that it made the bugs look bigger.
He talked about how the bug looked real like some of the bugs in the books. This lead to Oscar finding an interest in bugs and wanting to explore outside to find some more. Oscar thought we could find all the bugs in the books.

What great curiosity you showed today Oscar, it was amazing to see it trigger an interest for you.

Play is one of the main triggers of curiosity, which has an essential role in children's development and well-being. Research has found that a curious child learns better and remembers more than a child whose curiosity has not been sparked.
