Having art resources available for ngā tamariki all day has allowed them and encouraged them to become more creative. We are now seeing the children manipulate paper to create costumes rather than just drawing on the flat surface. We see alot of Ako (teaching and learning) between our children at the craft table. When one child comes up with a brilliant idea they are happy and willing to help others create the same thing :)
Lily and Grace made telephone head sets/microphones so that they could talk to each other from across the room. When either of the girls made the fuzzy microphone sound they would both put their hands up to their phones and start talking to each other.
