Tape cassett experience

We were kindly gifted a box that looked like a old tv or computer. We weren't really sure what we were going to do with it but placed it into our space to let our tamariki guide us with it. A bunch of boys became very interested in this box and they wanted us to plug it in. Miss Stella was not sure what was going to happen when we turned it on but we gave it ago anyway. The children thought that the screen would turn on and a programme will play. We pushed a switch and a light turned on behind the screen. The children screamed with excitement and shock. Miss Stella started to push and touch the buttons to see what we could do with it now that we know it works. Miss Stella went on a hunt around the school for a tape cassette, the children thought I was crazy as I was looking for this strange thing. MISS STELLA FOUND ONE!!!! The excitement arose as I explained to the children what it was and what it used to be used for. To our surprise we pressed the play button and a loud scratchy sound came over the speakers. Watch our video to see how all our tamariki responded to this experience....
